Nifty Details
Skeg or Rudder?
A skeg, when deployed, keeps the kayak on track, neutralizing the
effect of wind and waves. The Nifty skeg is located on the stern and is
easily dropped into position by gravity when you release the deck line
from its cleat.
The Nifty rudder provides more directional control than a skeg, useful
for navigating technical routes where turning power and control is
essential. Delsyk Design’s high quality rudder is made of anodized and
powder coated 6061 T6 aluminum for its superior strength
and stiffness.
