Crystal River Kayak Company & Dive Center is a current NAUI Pro Gold Center and DAN member facility. Our dive team leads freshwater trips for certified divers, teaches private certification courses, provides formal NAUI refresher training, and helps divers select and fit equipment in our Crystal River showroom.

Choose Your Dive Path
Join a guided freshwater trip, begin or complete certification, or rebuild your skills with a formal refresher. Each path has its own requirements, inclusions, and current pricing.
Guided Freshwater Dives
Certified divers can plan guided trips to Rainbow River, Blue Grotto, Devil's Den, Ginnie Springs, or Paradise Springs. Rainbow River can also be arranged as a guided snorkel. Our Dive Manager confirms diver fit, current site requirements, the meeting point, equipment needs, and the planned route and maximum depth before the trip.
SCUBA Certification
New divers can try SCUBA in a pool, complete a full Open Water course, or finish checkout dives after beginning training elsewhere. We teach small private courses around the student’s schedule and state the current price, included equipment, personal equipment, training location, and course sequence for every option.
SCUBA Refresher
Certified but out of practice? The formal NAUI Refresher combines eLearning with an instructor-led pool session. An optional package adds one open-water dive at Rainbow River, Devil’s Den, or Blue Grotto. The instructor adapts the skill review to what you need before your next dive.
Freshwater Diving, Planned Around You
A certification card does not make every site, route, or course the right fit. Recent experience, comfort, equipment, current site rules, conditions, and the least-experienced diver in the group all matter.
Call before making travel plans. Depending on the service, you may meet at our shop or at the selected dive site, and equipment or personal-gear responsibilities vary.

Dive Gear, Rentals & In-Person Help
The Crystal River showroom carries Sherwood, Genesis, Akona, Henderson, and NeoSport equipment for purchase or rental. The team can help with regulators, BCDs, masks, fins, wetsuits, exposure comfort, fit, and the small items that can make or break a water day.
Course and trip inclusions vary. Review the authoritative service page and confirm what we provide before buying, packing, or renting equipment.
NAUI Certification & GI Bill® Reimbursement
Eligible Veterans, active-duty service members, and qualified survivors or dependents can seek reimbursement for approved NAUI certification and license exam fees through qualifying GI Bill® benefits. Crystal River Kayak Company is the only nearby NAUI VA Testing Center.

Which dive service should I choose?
Choose Guided Dive Tours if you are certified and ready for a planned freshwater trip. Choose SCUBA Certification if you are beginning or completing training. Choose the SCUBA Refresher if you are certified but out of practice.
Do I need to be certified for a guided dive?
Yes for SCUBA. Rainbow River can also be arranged as a guided snorkel without SCUBA certification. New divers can ask about Discover SCUBA or begin Open Water certification.
Where does Crystal River Kayak Company lead guided dives?
Current guided-dive destinations are Rainbow River, Blue Grotto, Devil's Den, Ginnie Springs, and Paradise Springs. Our Dive Manager confirms the appropriate site, meeting point, route, and maximum planned depth for each trip.
What if I'm certified but feel rusty?
Complete the formal NAUI Refresher before asking a guided group to plan around skills you have not used recently. It includes eLearning and an instructor-led pool session, with an optional freshwater dive.
Does Crystal River Kayak Company rent and sell dive gear?
Yes. The showroom carries dive equipment for purchase or rental. Exact course and trip inclusions differ, so confirm what we provide and what you need to bring or rent.
Can GI Bill® benefits reimburse SCUBA training costs?
Eligible Veterans, active-duty service members, and qualified survivors or dependents may seek reimbursement for approved NAUI certification and license exam fees through qualifying GI Bill® benefits. We provide the applicable NAUI testing documents and instructions; VA decides eligibility, reimbursement, entitlement charges, and processing time. Review the GI Bill® training pathway before enrolling.
