Academy of Environmental Science
SCUBA Program
In partnership with the Academy of Environmental Science (AES), Crystal River Kayak Company & Dive Center has been providing full SCUBA certification to young people in Citrus County.
Since 1998 AES has been educating local students about our environment, especially in regards to the estuary, rivers and Gulf of Mexico - major backdrops for our area's economy. In demonstrating the importance of science for understanding the local ecology, AES aims to equip students with an environmental awareness and appreciation for Citrus County's beauty that can last for a lifetime, benefiting both themselves and their local communities.
